Install GNOME Desktop on CentOS

Black screen with terminal in CentOS make you tired, actually you can use GUI by installing GNOME Desktop for CentOS

Step 1: Install GNOME Desktop by run this ‘groups install’ command:

#yum -y groups install "GNOME Desktop"

Step 2: After finishing installation, run this

#startx

Step 3: GNOME Desktop Environment will start. For first booting, you have to configure these things bellow for first time.

– Select System language.

– Select Keyboard type.

– Add accounts if you’d like.

Step 4: Finally click “Start using CentOS Linux”.

Here we go!
